Fire fighters respond to apartment fire

The Tulsa Fire Department responded to an apartment fire Saturday morning.

Calls came in at 8:15 a.m. of a fire at the Pepper Tree Apartments, 7727 S. Yale Ave. and trucks were on the scene four minutes later.

No one was treated for injuries, Tulsa Fire Department spokesman Bill French said.

French added that four units suffered major fire and water damage.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. French said the occupant of the unit where the fire started gave conflicting reports.

Fire fighters were prepared to rescue the occupant from a third story balcony but he reentered the apartment and exited through a second floor door, French said.

The drunk idiot was smoking in bed. He finally woke up and noticed flames at the foot of his bed. They also took one firefighter out in an ambulance
