Police dog tracks fleeing teen to outhouse
By MATT BARNARD World Staff Writer - 11/6/2009
Even the smell from a portable toilet couldn't faze a police dog that tracked a teenager to an outhouse after a high-speed chase Friday morning.
Police arrested two teens during the pursuit, which began with a burglary call at a convenience store and ended when the youths ditched the car about seven miles away, Sgt. Justin Farley said.
Officers took one of the teens into custody shortly after the car crashed under a highway overpass near East Latimer Place and North Madison Avenue. The second ran across the highway in heavy morning traffic, Farley said.
A police dog followed the teen and found him hiding in a portable toilet in a construction site a few blocks away, Farley said. The teens' names were not released.
Police were initially sent to a burglary call about 6:05 a.m. in the 7800 block of East Admiral Place after a caller reported that a group of males was trying to break in through the back door.
Another officer spotted a group matching the description at a nearby QuikTrip and followed their gray Nissan Altima west on Interstate 244. The car was stolen in Gainesville, Texas, and the group had been implicated in another robbery, Farley said.
When officers tried to pull the driver over, he drove at a high speed before crashing in the gulley, Farley said.
After tracking the other teen to the outhouse, officers took the pair into custody for questioning.

Duct tape him in the outhouse, lay it on its side and roll it over for a while before letting him out!

So this is a teenager.... Look at this guy, does he look like an innocent misguided teen who just needs lots of love & a hug.... Can you imagine this "teen angel" with a gun in his hand committing a crime against you....

Corvetteguy, Tulsa (11/6/2009 11:31:53 AM) No offense, Carlos. "I've just noticed how you always seem to take the side of illegals." Not necessarily. I do however tend to side AGAINST people who automatically assume that just because someone is Hispanic, they must be an illegal alien. I have quite a few Hispanic friends who have never even been to Mexico so I have seen their struggle with stereotypes firsthand. It's just very closed-minded when people see a picture of a Hispanic suspect on here and instantly assume he/she is an illegal and doesn't speak English. That's all.

did he get a hose job? I saw his capture on the evening news. It was a male cop that drug him out of the john. The dog wouldn't stick his nose in there. But when the cop pulled him out that K9 just went to town and I mean. While the cop was putting knuckle bumps all over his body, one cop felt so bad for the guy he was trying to get the dog off of him. Do they train those dogs to go nuts when they taste blood.

Maybe they can lay off a few more police officers and get some more dogs? :-)....just kidding...makes as much sense as laying them off without any replacements.

If you catch them red-handed, print their names. It's time to quit being gentle. I hope that's not crap on that kids clothes. I feel sorry for the officers having to deal with this one.
