Court filing gives details of evidence in sex case
By MATT BARNARD World Staff Writer - 11/4/2009
A former Junior Achievement executive at the center of a child pornography case is accused of offering money to a teenager for sexual favors and of taking lewd photos of other boys, according to court records filed Tuesday.
Greg Boyd, 54, was arrested Saturday after police reportedly found pornographic photos and videos on his home computer. Boyd had been the president of Junior Achievement of Oklahoma and taught Sunday school at a Broken Arrow church.
He resigned from both positions after a teenage boy who was house-sitting for him told police that he stumbled across some photos on a digital camera in Boyd's home.
Detectives also allege that Boyd offered the teenager between $100 and $200 for sexual favors.
The images showed two underage boys performing oral sex on each other and appeared to have been made in Boyd's bedroom, a search warrant affidavit indicates.
Police have not been able to identify the children in the photos, records show.
Boyd was released from the Tulsa Jail on bond Monday and would not comment about the allegations.
According to the affidavit, the 18-year-old was house-sitting with a friend when he discovered the images on a camera. Police said the teenager told his father, who then contacted Boyd on Oct. 27.
A detective wrote that during the confrontation, Boyd said that "I do realize I have an issue" and added that he had considered committing suicide several times.
Boyd didn't reply when the father asked how many children he had been involved with, the records indicate.
During a search of Boyd's Broken Arrow home in the 1500 block of South Nyssa Avenue, authorities seized two computer hard drives and a digital camera, police said.
Boyd has since resigned from his Sunday school teaching assignment at Indian Springs Baptist Church and is no longer affiliated with Junior Achievement of Oklahoma.
Police said he also has ties to the Broken Arrow Community Playhouse theater group.
Neither the theater group nor the church could be reached for comment Tuesday evening.
Junior Achievement of Oklahoma offers economic education programs at schools to teach students about financial literacy and career choices.

Obviously this man strayed away from the values and morals that got him in the position he was in. I'm just thankful he didn't act on his deviancy. At least as far as we know. It's gotten to the point you just don't know who to trust. I ask, why can't these sites just be shut down?

Thinking about what this pervert was most likely doing while he filmed these boys makes me want to puke. And then how many times afterwards did he watch it and ..... ughhhh.... I think I'm going to be sick.

What I was trying to say and may not have communicated it very well, is that at this point he was caught before he actually molested a child. And this is a very good thing. Caught before he acted.
FUTURE WORLD, Tulsa (11/3/2009 11:12:04 PM)
Oh, I didn't realize he was doing the filming Joyce. Oh no, now that's different. This guy has truly crossed the threshold. Get a rope.

Hmmm. Maybe they should put that "Ten Commandments" monument in front of this guy's church, instead of the state capitol.

Makes you really take a hard look at any one new you meet theses days and wonder are you one of them.what is really in/on your mind.that is a shame. but this is a sick world we live in today.now time for a shower.
FUTURE WORLD, Tulsa (11/4/2009 1:40:03 AM)
truth fairy you got something there. Maybe some type of monument in front of or on the door of anyone convicted of such a crime.
Elusive, the burbs (11/4/2009 1:45:26 AM)
You can't trust anyone these days, the Junior Achievement President, Church Deacon, Youth Minister, Soccer Coach, etc. It's very sad indeed when you have to teach children there are these kind of people in the world. You want to both allow them their childhood innocence but protect it. I'm certainly thankful these two youth told their Dad and he reported it. There is no telling how many kids he may have abused over the years.
FUTURE WORLD, Tulsa (11/4/2009 2:04:18 AM)
I finally read the story instead of commenting off of the comments. This guy is nothing but a mangy dog who should be put out of his misery.

A quick trip to the hereafter is way too good for this piece of camel dung. It's no telling how many more might come forward and how many he actually DID 'do things with.' Makes me SICK!
2nTulsa, Tulsa (11/4/2009 4:24:41 AM)
He considered committing suicide when confronted about this, but he has since been released on bond? Shouldn't he be held in jail on some sort of suicide watch? Maybe I'm not reading the article correctly.....I just woke up and haven't had my coffee :P
Tony G, Tulsa (11/4/2009 5:51:11 AM)
This man never, ever should see the light of day, yet he is out now. Live are ruined, someone needs to ruin his.
Alan Shore, (11/4/2009 6:21:31 AM)
I guess his sense of achievement is a little different than most others'...
