Find perfect mate for chocolate to win contest
By Staff Reports - 10/21/2009
Weird chocolate combinations are nothing new. You can find chocolate bars that include flavors from bacon and chipotle peppers to green tea and curry.
So what's next?
The people at Scharffen Berger, the San Francisco-based chocolatier, want to know what you can do with chocolate and black-eyed peas. That and several other ingredients not typically associated as chocolate pairings.
Scharffen Berger's Chocolate Adventure contest is seeking the most creative recipes using chocolate and one of 16 adventurous ingredients. Two winners, one for sweet and one for savory, will win a grand prize of $10,000.
