Way too many teeth. But I think you captured the okie spirit.

They aren't called ditto heads for nothing. The last abstract thought his followers had was... well never.

Instead of being mislead by Hobbs, try going to Snoops and see what they say about the top 10 list he tried to post. Most of the comments are attributed to a book 101 People That Are Really Screwing America. It's written by a Lib who also wrote the Bush-Haters Handbook. Good source Hobbs. Real impartial.
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 8:22:23 PM)
Dusty, I am not defending Rush. Hobbs posted a comment and I am challenged the validity. Innocent until proven guilty or do you prefer the other way around?

Nice logic Dusty. So if someone publishes lies about you and you don't challenge it, that means you are guilty. Like I said, it is the responsibility of the one making the statement to back it with facts.
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 8:49:48 PM)
Dusty, look this thread alone. How many made negative comments about Rush? Maybe he does not feel the need to respond to every piece of trash someone posts about him. I don't know. Ask him. My point is still that it is the responsibility of the accuser to back up their statments, not the responsibility of the accused to dispute them.
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 8:50:42 PM)
my spelling stinks tonight sheesh
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 9:00:29 PM)
Really? What sources are those? The Bush Haters author or the Flush Rush Quartly? An example is the statement that he made about McNabb on ESPN. This is very easy to prove because the date and venue can be shown. Rush is a media personality. When and where did he say these things? Did you know in a trial the defense doesn't even have to put on a case if the prosecution doesn't prove it's case? In fact, in many trials the accused never even takes the stand. Silence means nothing.

" I go until I drop and can usually outlast him" When DO you sleep anyway? lol
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 10:10:20 PM)
"Don't confuse me with Jester. I don't excuse Rush for anything." I would appreciate it if you would not misrepresent my position my friend. I am not defending Rush. My position is that if you are going to accuse someone of something, offer some proof other than an obviously biased source.
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (10/15/2009 10:24:00 PM)
"You are defending Rush" Believe what you wish. I do not intend on driving this thread down 200 posts plowing the same ground over and over with you. "juries routinely say they feel when someone doesn't defend themselves by testifying that leads them to believe the person is hiding something" If they do say this, then they are clearly not following their jury instructions and their verdict should be questioned. Juries should convict based on FACTS not FEELINGS.

GOP, I like Mark Steyn's comment: "So where are these racist soundbites? Where’s the audio? Where’s the transcript? Name the year. Heigh-ho, say CNN’s Rick Sanchez and the rest of the basement-ratings crowd. Not our problem: It’s for Limbaugh to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he’s never said it. We’re too busy fact-checking anti-Obama jokes to fact-check our own reporting ..."

JJ, don't forget the Tawanna Brawley incident where someone wrote on her body with a magic marker and Sharpton blamed the NY police department for the deed done. It was all conjured up by Sharpton. A normal decent man would never show his face again. Sharpton is abnormal and hasn't a decent bone in his large fat ugly body.

Hey Plante. There are some black republicans, but you always have the whites as the buffons. You are racial!

kumbia? LOL. Newsmax: You can spell it Kumbayah or Kumbaya, but not kumbia. I only sing Kumbaya(h) in church or when I can join hands with my enemy when we find common ground. I don't drink beer in church and Bruce is not my enemy, so I won't sing that song with him. I would like to have a beer with him sometime and talk.

Groove Monster: If Rush had 4.4 speed in the forty and can bench press a house, then he would have a place in the NFL, too. The problem for Rush is that he wants to be an owner of an NFL team, and although some owners have had some of his "issues," such as drug addiction, for the most part, they haven't had all of his problems (don't forget his racist and other divisive comments) and they were already owners before those problems were known.

beau3985: Donovan McNabb has been an NFL quaterback since 1999. His numbers this season are not as good as they once were, but he is still in the league. Many QBs have come and gone from the NFL since Limbaugh made his idiotic and racist comments about his abilities, and yet, McNabb is still in the NFL and Limbaugh WILL NEVER BE in the NFL AGAIN. (Limbaugh was once associated with the NFL as a commentator on ABC/ESPN Sunday Night Football). It was not necessary for Limbaugh to refer to McNabb's race in offering his unschooled opinion concerning McNabb's abilities as an NFL quarterback. McNabb's record and the record of the Eagles destroys Limbaugh's opinion. When are the racists going to get it through their heads that NFL teams do not make decisions to draft and keep players because of their race? Owners and coaches of NFL teams want to win games. The race of the players is irrelevant to that goal.
Democrat, Tulsa County (10/15/2009 9:24:57 AM)
Groove Monster: You make a good point. Race should be irrelevant. I understand that 70% of the players in the NFL are black. For me, that is proof that race is no longer a factor in making the decision to sign players. If about 11% of the American population is black and 70% of the NFL players are black, then being black is not a factor in deciding who plays. That supports the argument that Rush Limbaugh was wrong in his statements about Donovan McNabb. He was wrong to bring in race. McNabb before and after Limbaugh's racist statement proved on the field that he was a quality quarterback. The question about why so few blacks are among the quaterbacks of the NFL teams also has a non-racist answer today. In the past, racial prejudice was a factor when it was widely believed that blacks lacked the intelligence to quarterback an NFL team. McNabb, Doug Williams, Randall Cunningham, Vince Young, and even the dog-fighter Vick, have exploded the myth that black quarterback can't be successful in the NFL. One doesn't have to win a Super Bowl to be successful. Those with superior ability win jobs and those who can't win, like average white quarterbacks, sell insurance or do something else for a living. Black owners? It takes a lot of money and the desire to become an owner. Perhaps someday, Oprah will have the desire. Black coaches? Progress has been slow. Tony Dungy and Lovey Smith have shown that black head coaches can reach the top. It does not automatically follow that if 70% of the players are black that 70% of the coaches (or owners) should automatically be black. I can't and won't speak for those who make those demands. I speak for myself. I see progress. I see more black people becoming interested in those jobs. I see more black people paying their dues and proving themselves. I see a bright future in which black kids will grow up with the idea that they not only can play in the NFL, NBA, AL OR NL if they are good enough, but that they can coach those teams, they might OWN those teams, and that they might even become President of the United States. Their nation is changing. Rush Limbaugh is NOT an agent of that change.
Democrat, Tulsa County (10/15/2009 11:59:12 AM)
I'm through commenting on Limbaugh's attempt to become an NFL owner and Limbaugh's recent attempt to become an owner appears to be over. Some are requesting that I document the racist comments that have been made by Limbaugh. I only need to document one racist comment and I have already referred to it. It was his on-air comment that cost him his job as a "personality" on ABC/ESPN Sunday Night Football. He needlessly brought up Donovan McNabb's race in questioning his ability as an NFL quarterback. I have already stated that McNabb's record before and after Limbaugh's unfortunate remark speaks for itself. He is still an NFL quarterback. The only other point that I would like to make is that I beg Jason Collington to leave the remark of JJ Bigs (I am guessing that he is talking about Bruce)on this site for all to see. It stands as a prime example of the mentality of extremists who are unable to express an opinion without resorting to intimidating language. I feel very sorry for JJ Bigs. I also expect to see an unthinking response from him. JJ: You may have the last word.
my view, Sand Springs (10/15/2009 10:00:26 AM)
Democrat, Other than the comment about one quarterback, who he [Rush] thought was overrated, produce another racist remark. There are recording of him from the time he started talking on the air until the present. You won't find any. Most of these comments are coming from talking heads on CNN and MSNBC which stands a good chance of being sued. All he has to do is show damage from the lies they are telling. Being dropped from the group wanting to purchase the St. Louis Rams are damages.
