The ribbon bagel is back

Fans of Panera Bread's Pink Ribbon Bagels wait all year for their favorite bagel. Well, they're here and will be for the month of October.
In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the bagels will be sold at all Tulsa-area Panera locations. The bagels feature cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar.
A portion of the proceeds from each bagel sold will go toward breast cancer causes, including Tulsa Project Woman in Tulsa.

5601 E. 41st St.
8930 S. Memorial Drive
11123 E. 71st St., Broken Arrow
2201 W. Detroit, Broken Arrow

Yet another shameless gimmick by coporate America to make a buck off of people's adversity. Do you really think Panera(and other companies) would be doing this if they didn't stand to make big bucks while giving "a portion of the proceeds" to a cause they have deemed as a good marketing tool? Cut out the middle man and donate directly to the charity of your choice. As for the picture that accompanies this article? You tell me what pops into your mind when you look at that "bagel".

true2form: Don't you get it? Whether Panera gave out of their coffers or did what you read about, the idea is to get the public involved and make them aware of the fact that October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. All they need is to add the pink cream cheese.

yamisso, I get it and I stand by my comments. When ARDA eliminates religious doctrine from its charitable work you can lecture me on corporate philanthropy.
