Wonder what Nigel Tufnel's caption might have said. Every time I see an armadillo, I think of the Spinal Tap song...

I like the nod to Al Hirschfeld.

Stephanie did really well, but the line had to be "We're gonna need a bigger marshmallow."

They don't build nuclear weapons in Los Alamos. However, they do nuclear research along with alot of other types of defense related endeavors. nuclear bombs and warheads are made in Amarillo Texas. nuclear trivia for $100 please.

And Los Alamos is not in the desert, It's a beautiful small mountain community.

The US has not tested a nuke underground since 1992. The test ban treaty of 1996 put an end to all testing except for third world pig states like North korea. India and pakistan continue a tit for tat testing program(s).

Hehe, nicely done, Bruce. Let's see Coburn haul that in his pickup.

true2form, Grand Lake (10/1/2009 8:41:57 AM)
Bruce, Somewhere, Al Hirschfeld is smiling!

Eagle 4, Tulsa (10/1/2009 10:19:18 AM)
Good one, Stephanie! Tom, it's too big for your pickup and I don't think you have enough bullets for that pitchfork. Nice lawn...right outside Armadillo, Texas?

longhorn sam, westex (10/1/2009 7:32:15 AM)
It's kinda like liberals with Obama, what radical friends.

droopy, wagoner (10/1/2009 6:47:52 AM)
Is that BHO in disguise?

Groove Monster, San Antonio (10/1/2009 2:41:26 PM)
Heh... we should move our bomb "testing" a little north of Africa and a little east of Europe! I tried to grab an armadillo once, once. Thought I could palm it like a basketball. Critters're quicker than they look, jest you believe me on that one!

52favoriteteacher, ex--Broken Arrow Tiger (10/1/2009 4:44:59 PM)
Bruce--for real We had one digging in the backyard just last week. Our lazy dog is kinda like ole Coburn except he was sleepin...

Bullhead, Nicut (10/1/2009 10:37:30 AM)
HAHAHA!

IrishQuaker, Tulsa (10/1/2009 5:07:48 PM)
He he he. That's one big marshmallow, Sir Tom. I think that the pitchfork becomes you.

JDAM77, Cleveland, OH; formerly Tulsa (10/1/2009 9:52:22 AM)
They're in Arizona! Check out the cacti. Owweeeee! I think I punctured a lung!

dustyoutlaw, Tulsa (10/1/2009 5:57:11 AM)
Not really sure what this is supposed to imply. Not a fan of Coburn but WHAT ARMADILLO? What does it have to do with Coburn? I'm starting to have more respect for the idea of creative captioning along with funny cartoons. Maybe it's me but I don't get it.

dustyoutlaw, Tulsa (10/1/2009 6:35:25 AM)
Why don't you explain it phoenix? Or just another in an endless stream of person attacks? What do you call 1,000 attorney's at the bottom of the Ocean? A good start?

dustyoutlaw, Tulsa (10/1/2009 12:50:53 PM)
Ok, I looked up the Coburn connection to Armadillos. Sort of wished I hadn't. I think of Inhofe as the wacko in Washington from Oklahoma. Now it appears we have twins.

dustyoutlaw, Tulsa (10/1/2009 2:35:17 PM)
A quick search on google reveals that most U.S. Nuclear testing is underground and done in Nevada

gfy, Tulsa (10/1/2009 12:13:01 PM)
The problem with Coburn's analogy is that grub worms are really bad for you lawn too. So let the armadillo eat all the grubs. So you get rid of the grubs, the armadillos leave because the grubs are all gone and the lawn grows back. The cycle of life my friends.

gfy, Tulsa (10/1/2009 12:14:00 PM)
"your" instead of "you"

RE:"Not a fan of Coburn but WHAT ARMADILLO? What does it have to do with Coburn?....Maybe it's me but I don't get it. " I read this baout twenty minutes ago.....fainted..and just now "came to" A subject on which "dusty" does not pretend to know anything about. Wow! I never thought it could happen. "Do You Believe in Miracles?"

PhoenixIX, Jenks (10/1/2009 6:54:09 AM)
dustyoutlaw, RE:"Or just another in an endless stream of person attacks?" It's not an " attack" old man. I was simply congratulating you on your first printed display of honesty.

PhoenixIX, Jenks (10/1/2009 7:05:47 AM)
Dustyoutlaw, RE:" I've never met one so jealous and immature." Your mistaking disdain for jealousy. And again , I was congratulating you! Who would have ever "thunk" it ????
