Fair Food

By NATALIE MIKLES World Scene Writer - 10/1/2009

For some, it's the No. 1 reason to go to the Tulsa State Fair.

Corndogs, cotton candy, turkey legs, caramel apples, freshly squeezed lemonade and the booths go on and on.

But even if you never venture past the traditional fair food, it's always fun to see what new foods have landed on the midway.

One thing's for certain: They're bound to be deep-fried, chocolate-covered or on a stick.

We're excited about a couple — deep-fried bananas and waffle bowl sundaes sound promising. But we intend to stay far away from others, mainly the roast beef sundae bowl and chocolate-covered bacon. What about you? Let us know online at tulsaworld.com/scene .
