Good God Bruce, you'll ruin your reputation with sensible cartoons like this.
Democrat, Tulsa County (9/27/2009 7:19:28 AM)
I thought that droopy might respond by saying-- "Bruce, those two guys look alike and is that a boy dog or a girl dog? It doesn't matter, I'm in love." You hit this one over the rainbow, Bruce! You won't get a single comment disagreeing with this cartoon.
Four Sixteen Rigby, Tulsa (9/27/2009 7:54:14 AM)
What curtain? The Iranians are not even trying to conceal what they are doing. Our leaders don't need a helpful dog to reveal the truth. The truth is well known. Yet, most of the free world dithers, and our leader holds out a laurel wreath and friendly handshake. And to add insult to injury, our leader has to be lectured by the French, for God's sake, on foolishness of letting the Iranians continue down the road to a nuclear armed long range rocket.
Democrat, Tulsa County (9/27/2009 8:17:02 AM)
Well, I was wrong! Four Sixteen Rigby: There is a difference between fact and opinion. Many people suspected that Iran was secretly working on enriching nuclear material in order to make bombs. The PROOF was only recently discovered. That makes the cartoon, with curtain, an accurate offering. The Iranians WERE trying to conceal what they were doing. Why do YOU feel compelled to LIE?
Four Sixteen Rigby, Tulsa (9/27/2009 8:39:47 AM)
Democrat: Well, let's see. I don't recall the Iranians hiding the long-range missiles they tested a few months ago. In fact, they released photos of the launch. They have been completely open about their belief that the country of Iran deserves and needs nuclear weapons. French President Sarkozy perhaps said it best: "Since 2005, Iran has violated five Security Council Resolutions. [Ed note: Sarkozy then listed international proposals for dialogue with Iran attempted in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009.] I support America’s extended hand. But what have these proposals for dialogue produced for the international community? Nothing but more enriched uranium and more centrifuges. And last but not least, it has resulted in a statement by Iranian leaders calling for wiping off the map a Member of the United Nations. What are we to do? What conclusion are we to draw? At a certain moment hard facts will force us to take decisions." Why do you feel compelled to attack those who state the facts? Oh. That's right. Your profile name explains it nicely.
Democrat, Tulsa County (9/27/2009 8:50:49 AM)
Your facts do not support your point. The development and testing of missiles does NOT provide evidence of a hidden facility to enrich nuclear materials. The statement by Sarkozy also does not include evidence of that hidden facility. Notice that I said that many people SUSPECTED that Iran was doing what was RECENTLY PROVEN. I feel compelled to attack people who MISREPRESENT FACTS.

Democrat: Whatever.

Nice rebuttal, friend!! LMAO!!
Proud Muslim, Tulsa: Coolest place in the world (almost) (9/27/2009 8:58:37 AM)
LOL, nicely done, Bruce. In my opinion, when you compete in an arms race, there are no winners. Hopefully the Iranians will overthrow Ahmadinejad before long. Some people need to loosen up and laugh a little.
justiceawaits, Claremore (9/27/2009 9:03:48 AM)
Instead of antagonizing Russia into another arms race with a bogus missle defense system in Europe in order to line his cronies pockets with fat government contracts the way our previous war mongering president did, our new POTUS has made nice with the Russians and talked them into condeming Iran for their hostle actions. I would call that an intellegent move.
redbeard, Stillwater (9/27/2009 9:05:03 AM)
Nice one,Bruce. I don't blame the Iranians for developing their nukes. They watched Saddam's kingdom go up in smoke and they figured they might be next. This was all predictable.
Hobbs, Tulsa (9/27/2009 9:06:38 AM)
416...what is your solution... Seriously...do you want to nuke Iran. Start a war with Iran. Please if you were the president what would you do?
hole punch, (9/27/2009 10:07:19 AM)
"President Amalamadingdong" reminds me of a crazy mystic. Unfortunately the people of Iran are going to pay the ultimate price. Iranian government must be weakend by international intervention & then overthrown by Iranian people.
James Young, Tulsa, Austin, Temecula (9/27/2009 10:49:43 AM)
Ahmadinejad is not the guy behind the curtain; that would be the collection of mullahs and ayatollahs, 12th century clerics whose views are naïve, self-serving, damaging to the people and ultimately immoral.

Russia and China are the only countries keeping us from Iran being another Iraq. But my question is with all these American people bitc*ing about taxes for health care, will these same people bitc* about the tax money needed for an Iranian war? Their answer will probably be,"well this is different."
Grand Old Partier, Owasso (9/27/2009 11:21:40 AM)
Everyone who mattered has known what was behind the curtain. Obama knew of the facility during his transition to the White House so obviously GW Bush did too. This confirmation of the obvious was not revealed to the public until now. Why? Enough talking! It's time for heavy sanctions and if that don't work then military options are on the table.

Bruce, good animation as always. Really no surprise here. It's about like revealing that Liberace was gay. Pretty much figured that one out before it was official.
Companion, Sperry (9/27/2009 12:03:30 PM)
All for war taxes, but not for health care. Ironic don't you think? Willing to find and spend money on war, but no for the health of a country. Talk about health care will break this country. Several wars should break this country as well, don't you think? Health care may cost billions, but so does war.

The only thing reveal recently about Iran's uranium enrichment activities is that they had a secret facility that was doing on a smaller scale what we already knew for fact they were doing on a larger scale at Natanz. The new facility has the production capability of 3000 centrifuges whereas by April of this year the Natanz location had already installed 7000 centrifuges. Iranian uranium enrichment program was revealed in 2002. In fact in 2003 the then Iran President Mohammad Khatanmi announced a program for a complete nuclear fuel cycle, which was to consist of the following components: Mining Uranium in Saghand (200 kilometers, 125 miles from Yazd) from 350 meters (1160 feet) deep. Preparing Yellow Cake in Ardekan near Yazd (at a site known as the Ardekan Nuclear Fuel Unit). A Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) at the Esfahan site. At the UCF at Esfahan, using the yellow cake prepared in the Ardekan, a number of by-products including uranium hexofloride (UF6), metallic uranium, and uranium oxide (UO2) were produced. These were later used for uranium enrichment. Natanz Uranium Enrichment Facility. Using the yellow cake and the products of the Isfahan UCF unit, uranium was enriched using the centrifuge equipment, and nuclear fuel pellets were to be eventually produced in Natanz. These pellets could then be used to form the fuel rods.. Some US officials suspected Iran of operating secret enrichment and other undeclared nuclear related facilities elsewhere in the country other than those declared in 2003. (Source GlobalSecuritydotorg) The CIA report The U.S. National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran: Nuclear Intentions and Capabilities of November 2007 confirmed the existence of a covert Iranian program to develop nuclear weapons and missiles to deliver them. The only thing that has not been discovered is whether the Iranian are developing a warhead.

Their plans are nothing like the Wizard behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. . I don't think the president, or his evil twin behind the curtain, intends for the US or Israel to have a happy ending. Good one Bruce.
just passing through, (9/27/2009 3:29:52 PM)
Russia provided them with the tools and the know how. Russia provided them with the equipment and the fuel. My question: What's in this for Russia?
Jester1969, Broken Arrow (9/27/2009 3:44:14 PM)
Dusty, So by saying "Iran and North Korea free to thumb their noses at the USA because Bush left us so Militarily thin with two wars." are you stating that Bush should have used a military option to deal with Iran during his term? If not, what specifically should he have done that he didn't? The leftist site the World Socialist Website reported in March of 2006 that "After three weeks of behind-the-scenes US bullying, the UN Security Council unanimously adopted a statement on Wednesday calling on Iran to halt its uranium enrichment program and giving the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) 30 days to report back. Although amended at the insistence of Russia and China, the statement provides Washington with the pretext for escalating the confrontation with Tehran and its threats of punitive sanctions and military action..." So when Bush was being tough it was called "bullying" by the left but now you say he allowed the Iranians to thumb their noses at us.
mr.peabody, country side oklahoma (9/27/2009 4:02:39 PM)
"What's in this for Russia?" Not a thing, they just support democracy and fair elections. They firmly stand for religious rights and individual freedoms , they have no economic interest whatsoever. Not like the US that clearly invaded Iraq for it's oil.
Centrist, the burbs (9/27/2009 6:38:33 PM)
Great job Bruce, the thing we must consider is what we don't know what these nutjobs are doing. Never underestimate the criminally insane.

ElRushbo- thanks for springing the trap on that one.
