Steak and shake

By - 9/23/2009

Trinity Episcopal Church, 601 S. Cincinnati Ave., is the sight of the showdown - the inaugural Oklahoma Championship Steak Cookoff. Cooks will get their steaks - certified Angus ribeyes, handcut on site - and start cooking at 12:30 p.m. Best steak claims $2,500. Best part: $20 buys you steak, baked potato, salad and bread.

Dinner hour is 5:30 p.m., but live music starts at noon with Shelby Eicher and Mark Bruner, the DuoSonics, Timothy O’Brian’s Celtic Cheer and Matt Jewitt-Williams.

Order tickets online at tulsaworld.com/oksteakcookoff. And see tomorrow's Spot for more red-meat fun.
