Guess the democrats will have to try to limit freedom of speech in different ways now. I am not so sure that Joe Wilson is glad he interrupted the President. He isn't the only one who campaign chest is getting money. Rep. Wilson could end up losing his seat over this issue.

good work, it was widely reported about Wilson's opponent getting a lot of donations implying that the country was outraged with what happened. The little known fact, as you pointed out Bruce, is that Wilson recieved a huge boost, and even more by most reports.

Where was Joe Wilson when George Bush was President? That's when the "You Lie" line was needed most. He wasted a great line on an honest man who is trying to do his best for our country. It's a shame that there are so many uninformed sheep out there following this guy and giving him money. Even guys who can only spare 100 bucks a month are contributing - strange indeed.

I am quite certain that Congressman Wilson will be a member of the 112th congress when it convenes in January, 2011. I am equally certain that a goodly number of his Democrat critics will not be. It's very refreshing to see that he's attracting campaign contributions from all around the country. He's being bashed by the Hate America wing of the Democrat Party simply because he pointed out that Obama was lyin' like a horse thief (like Bill Clinton???) when he stated that illegal aliens would not be covered by his health care plan. Of course California voters adopted their Proposition 187 in 1994. This referendum specifically disallowed illegal aliens from attending public schools at taxpayer's expense. This measure was struck downas "unconstitutional" by a federal court in in 1994 and Barack Obama, who was a professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago had to know this. Obama knew when he said it that denying illegal aliens coverage under his plan would not pass muster in the courts, so Obama was lying thru his teeth when he claimed it would deny coverage. So what's wrong with pointing that fact out?

I loved the Dixie Chicks reference above. Hey, didn't they received death threats? I wonder if Joe Wilson has, as well. If not, it speaks volumes about the nature of the two parties, doesn't it? Violence isn't the answer, kids. And all the contributions in the world might not matter if the voters in South Carolina decide they would prefer not being ridiculed on a world stage. First Sanford, now Wilson. Doesn't speak highly of the South Carolina Good Ole Boy Republican party.
