We ask: "What's your favorite thing to order here?"
Bogey's Hamburgers, 11115 E. 41st St., 663-6993
Sausage cheeseburger, $4.60
"It's so good. It's not a common thing, like a cheeseburger."
— Sukie Simpson, co-owner
No. 3 (cheeseburger) with fries, $4.80
"I don't order it. When I walk in the door, they fix me a No. 3 with light mustard. I used to come in every Friday, now I usually come in Mondays and Fridays.
"It's just a good hamburger and curly-cues. To be honest with you, a lot of the reason I come in here is this table on Friday will have a sign that says 'VIP Reserved.' I sit here at least once a week.
"Sometimes I come here on an odd day and my table's (occupied). So I get Sukie, the bouncer, to come over here and Nah, I don't do that (chuckle). I come in and work my crossword puzzle. On Fridays, I know a lot of the people who come in. (We) just sit and shoot the bull."
— Bob Burton, 71, customer
Jumbo cheeseburger, $4.40
"It's double meat. It's a half-pound. The meat is fresh every day, that makes a difference. It's just really good. Can't go wrong. I see it every day, people come in here and they don't know what they want, so I just give 'em a cheeseburger."
— Mel Simpson, co-owner
"It's a jumbo cheeseburger, 'nuf said. I'm not a food critic, but it tastes like a burger you'd get off the grill."
— J.T. Griffin, customer
